Q:
Hey guys, I’m want to create a new character, but I’m stuck between a ranger, guardian, or necromancer. I don’t really know anything about anything, so I don’t really know which one is more powerful or fun. I was hoping you guys would help me decide between these 3 and what race I should use. What I want in my character is a decent amount of power so I don’t get totally destroyed in both pvp and pve, and I want him to look cool. I don’t really care about racial bonuses, unless it’s like a cool-looking piece of armor or something. Oh, and also I roll solo, none of my friends play this game.
THx in advance guys

A:
Direct dmg – you hit – they are hurt – for example 1000 dmg hit.
Condition dmg – as long as enemy has a condition on himself ( like bleeding ) he get’s hurt with dmg/second. For example – 5 seconds of 200dmg/sec = 1000 dmg over 5 seconds.
boon – buff → AS LONG as you have a buff on yourself you get the benefits
condition – debuff → AS LONG as you have a debuff on yourself you get a kick in the balls
/ Pick guardian or necromancer
They’re all good professions, it comes down to personal preferences as to which you’ll like best.
Guardian = Heavy armour. Decent damage, great survival, lots of group support.
Necromancer = Light armour. Big focus on condition damage.
Ranger = Medium armour. Always has a pet with him.
Necromancer. Never alone when you can summon friends. I solo, and necro is my main, and I use summons to keep the enemies away while I pelt out range staff attacks. (When I actually am with others, I switch from summons to support skills)
I also find I can escape alot of bad situations. Fear gets people off you, and Death Shroud is great for running away on low HP.
Ranger is alright too, shortbow is a good range attack but quick. I use it like a melee weapon on my ranger, and the pet is a good distraction, but I still say necro over ranger.
I don’t really understand what condition damage really is. I know that it’s like a small boost, but how do I take the most advantage from it? Btw thx for answering guys
