Necromancer minions
There is an AOE heal you can get fairly as soon as you have 3 skill points free, it does heal minions. But minions are less about dealing huge damage and more about mitigating aggro/damage from yourself. I’m not much of a pet class guy but Im loving leveling my necromancer mostly because iv stayed away from minions and stuck to mainly condition/aoe damage.
Hmm but three hits on them seems a little too easy to die which means faster aggro on me.
I got a good build… condition/aoe/crit dmg. I’m an axe user and I do over 5k… If you are interested add me

using staff and its skill mark of blood will heal, later you can get trait that gives mark of blood on evasion, then there are traits to get shrouds life trasnfer and coming out of shroud heal.. Minions are pretty weak until you get that 50% hp trait.
I have a scepter and warhorn or focus on one, staff on the other for those out of range moments. I like dagger and dagger as well but I think I liked sceptre attacks a smidge better than dagger attacks for some things. I focus traits on max vitality and toughness, and will have 10 points in power. I’m a total minion master, all this to maximize survivability with a average to above average channeling attack capability and support damage AoE attacks.
Just unlocked weapon swapping so hopefully this will help.
Yeah, having two different fighting methods is useful.

If you run around with a lot of minions (about 5) your AoE heal will mis a few of them regularly unless you pop it during a fight where they tend to be grouped up.
Claiming to do an X amount of damage / dps is a bit far fetched as there is no dps meter (ingame or fan created) so people have no idea howmuch or how few dps they are doing.
@OP, unfortionatly there seems to be a bug with minions where they just dont seem to attack your target costing you a lot of damage that you would normally rely on (especially anoying in a pvp fight).
Not to mention the elite flesh golem that occasionaly runs off to a target you didnt attack / target and starts hitting them.
As minions are a big part of some builds i’m surprised there hasnt been any confirmation / acknowledgement that they are looking into this issue.
I also have the feeling minions dont really profit from your necros stat increases but i’ll have to test that part more to be sure about it.
Theres a trait perk you can get in vitality that gives them +50% health, so I don’t think your trait points affect them unless its perks, they might just get the default stats for the level their level as you level up, rather than get the exact stats that you have. If that were the case, the minions would be a bit OP becase people would have 6 or 7 minions as strong and possibly damage resistant, as the tanky necro that I am making, albeit with different attacks. So I don’t think the minions are totally affected by your stats, but maybe by traits abit based on perks and such.
Hmmm okay thanks
