Guild Wars 2

Hi, so my friends recently bought this Guild Wars 2 when it was on sale. They want me to play with them on a new character. I decided I would delete my Human Thief, since I don’t care for the play style, and make a Char. The problem I ran into was deciding which profession to be. I am very decided on the looks at max level.

I already have the following:
80 Asura Warrior
80 Human Guardian
80 Sylvari Mesmer
80 Norn Ranger
80 Human Elementalist

I really like the warriors play style and I think that a Char in heavy armour would look dapper. But I keep thinking of a engineer; the lack of weapons on the engineer makes me rethink, also the medium armour concerns me.

Please tell me which class you think would be fun on Char, also please give reasons and some BA pictures of what I could look like at max.

Engineer can have more weapons in combat than other classes – different guns, flamethrower plus bombs and grenades. Fun to play but also difficult, although since you have elementalist it will be easier for you to adapt to swapping weapons and managing cooldowns.
But my fiance has charr ranger and he keeps wishing he picked heavy armor class – all those medium coats just don’t look very nice on big kitty.

It’s possible to make charr look good in medium armor, it just takes a lot of fiddling around. I’m very fond of my own charr engie's outfit, for example. And engineer are a great class, lots of versatility and top tier damage once you know what you’re doing.

Heavy armor does tend to be the ‘default’ charr classes, because their cultural tier 3 set looks really good, but it’s also possible to veer away from that as well.

I have a female Charr engineer (Charr armor is the same for both genders) and had to use lower level skins to get away from the trench coat look of medium armor.
