Need Clarification on some terms
“Faceroll”
Context: “DB plus 3 and 5 = faceroll all through that dungeon, ftw”
Or, “…you are gonna faceroll all the way to 80, bro”
Basically, that you don’t have to think and can win by just doing “facerolls” on the keyboard (imagine putting your face down on the keyboard and rolling from one side to the other) to trigger your abilities. No skill involved with this play style.
“Theme Park”
Context: “…the game is so theme park, its kitten casualsauce”
a “Theme Park” experience is one where you’re pretty much led from point A to point B. There are quests and storylines that make it feel like you’re going through a theme park. The cost of the game and/or the monthly subscription can feel like the price of the ticket you pay to enter the theme park. Everything you do has little impact on the world and it will always pretty much be the same no matter what path you take.
“Sandbox”
Context: “I wish it were more sandbox, but love it…”
A sandboxed game is one where you can pretty much go wherever you want, do whatever you want without a script – you’re not following a scripted path (pretty much the opposite of a theme park style game)
Thanks for that excellent reply
