Need assistance picking a race/class.
Necro can be interesting, I’m leveling one now. I like the aoe bleed condition build. It’s great for grinding down large groups of mobs. It’s a rather squishy build, but it has amazing kiting potential if you kite well. If that’s too squishy for you, go with a minion build, that’s a fairly tough build when you have 4 to 5 minions tailing around with you.

Is it possible to play a life steal build with dagger/dagger? When the game first came out, it wasn’t possible due to all of the bugs necros had and how squishy they were. Was this improved?
Dagger/Dagger is entirely viable. Building around life steal itself, is another thing entirely. You can create a build with lots of types of life siphoning. But, ultimately, life steal is just one skill, and you’re far more survivable with a death shroud build (which has it’s own sort of life steal, if that floats your boat).

How would I keep that viable while leveling?
Warrior and Elementalist haha, the easiest profession to the most difficult. Might I suggest engineer role if you’re into a race matching profession? The buildable turrets and equipable backpacks really make you feel like you’re using technology to beat your opponents. (On that note, a sylvari engineer would be interesting when using the seed turret elite skill combined with all utility turrets/healing turret. YOU WOULD BE SO FORTIFIED WOW.)

I’ve thought about being an Asuran engineer, but I don’t like the fact that everything looks like charr design. I could deal with it, but I would rather engineer weapons/attacks to match each race.
I have to admit that the Asura look awesome in the necro gear. I went with Human myself, because Asura are too small and cutesy for my tastes. They have some brilliant NPC interactions though.
A little bit of an update:
I’m now leaning an an Asuran Warrior.
My reason:
Lore wise, Asura were under so much pressure while they were underground, it is understandable that they would have a very solid bone structure. It may have even changed their bone density to rival iron.
Given that, they would have also had to adapt to having stronger and heavier bones. This would cause their muscles to grow and strengthen. Theoretically, Asura could be stronger then an average Norn. (Proportionality.)
Now, as far as a brute strength warrior, Asura wouldn’t be the best for that job, but it could be possible. Think of this: A normal human with dwarfism has an average height of 4.5ft. This would mean that they can lift much more then a normal human with the same muscle mass. This is due to the fact that they don’t have as far to lift the weight.
Some could also argue that Asura have developed technology to strengthen themselves. This would mean that an Asura warrior may have augmented his body with a robotic endoskeleton that allows him to have technologically assisted strength. Given an Asura’s ability to think dynamically, an Asura warrior may be a normal Asura that has given himself extra power.
Think about it, Asura believe that they are the best. As a child, one Asura sees this big, hulking Norn lift much more then he could ever think of. Well, this Asura is suddenly shown that he is much more intelligent, but he is obviously inferior when it comes to raw power. Now the Asura has to think. “Why can’t I be that strong.” So, he starts developing a self-regenerating apparatus that he later installs into his own skeletal systems. He uses his mind to create more power for himself.
….. I think that…. You’re over thinking it….

I believe so… However, this does seem scientifically possible.
