Need help Engineer No speed buffs ?
Med Kit skill 5 grants swiftness, Elixir H and Elixir B have a chance to apply it and Elixir gun’s Elixir F skill applies it upon hitting an enemy. Also if you’re a Norn and equip the Call Owl utility skill then then tool belt skill grants Swiftness.

There is a trait that gives 25% speed increase, Power Shoes. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Power_Shoes
It’s a Master level trait in the inventions line.

Before I got that trait I used Elixer B for the speed boost, http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Elixir_B
and yeah I felt like I was crawling across the landscape. That trait, to me, is well worth it.

Speedy Kits also gives you swiftness for 10 seconds whenever you equip a kit.
Its an adept trait in the tools line.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Speedy Kits is so very useful and relatively inexpensive traitwise to get. However, these days you have to wait to level 30 to use trait points so there’s that.

Basically, you have to get 2 trait points to get Speedy Kits (and your gonna have to buy it). That means LVL 36 minimum and you are gonna need some spare skill points to purchase it (10s & 2 SP). Once traited, you have to swap to a kit every 10s to maintain the speed buff, but it gives a constant 33% boost with it. Very rarely do my Engineers run without it traited.
Note that you can EARN the trait in Lornars Pass, but the Champ you have to defeat is a challenge for even a level 80 character.
It’s a LVL 38 Group Event http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Defeat_Lord_Ignius_the_Eternal

And the pre events could fail .. a friend wanted to get that trait just 3-4 days ago
and after searching and googling first what to do the 2nf or 3rd event in that chain
failed and he should have do it all again.
In the end he finaly bought it after wasting over in hour

thanks all for the answer, i hope the will ballance it out sometime in the furture i dont really like being a slowpoke running and running. It gets so boring ~ and yes im a norm.
I don’t think this kind of thing will change. In general, the Engineer is considered one of the better mobility classes in the game and the fact that you have to wait until you get to 36 to gain that mobility is not really anything any longer term players would consider a handicap.

That is probably more of a Norn(and Charr) issue than an engineer issue. All their animations are slower because they are still moving at the same speed as everyone else.

True…..my Asura Engi looks like she is under swiftness all the time…it’s just a scaling issue.
