Hey guys,

Whats the best build for a ranger that could do a lot of damage. Need skill point ideas. As well as what are the best long bows in game? And what is a good weapon to combine with long bow as my second hand weapon?

Longbow have low dps, Shortbow does more damage from front (excluding bleed) then longbow.

Pets are 40% damage from Ranger, problem is pets are currently BUGGED and unresponsive

God I am getting sick of these types of posts. Either post something helpful or shut the hell up. People want to play these classes for a reason. It doesn’t do them anykittengood when they are told to reroll.

Yeah haha. I read the Ranger Forums. I am not rerolling. I am going to have to play around with what I like playing and see what I find is the best fit.

Go Power and Precision for max dmg. In addition, the trait line allow longbow range to 1500. Furthest atk of all classes if I’m not wrong. Longbow dmg increases with distance, so you want to hit things from afar and you don’t die as much as others in WvW. Barrage is intimidating and effective in WvW when you see people clustered together pretty often. It catches runners at times (those running when low health).
I switch with shortbow. It atk faster and dmg more. Better for PvE and close combat in some cases. Both Long/Shortbow does not allow offhand. They’re 2H weapons.
