Good day everyone, I’m building a computer that can run guild wars 2 really well, and by well I mean “be able to go into WvW when 2 zergs clash and not drop frames” well, and I need the community’s help to achieve this. I decided to make a thread here in the hopes that there are people here that run GW2 just fine with their setups, but at the same time not costing a crazy amount with their dual titans or something, lol. My budget is between 800 dollars to 1000 dollars worth in computer parts, I am not in need of a monitor right now because I already have an HDTV that I can use for the time being, and to redirect the funds for better quality computer parts, I also don’t need an OS because I already have one. If there are any more things you need me to answer, I’ll try to provide them.

You will not build a computer in this day and age with any budget that will not drop frames when hitting a zerg. Now if you want to build a computer that will stay over a given FPS when in a zerg that might be doable, depending on what that number is, however, it probably will not happen inside of your budget.

This part is true because the issue in WvW zerg is actually the Internet/server connection, not the hard ware itself in general. =P

That is the skill lag, the FPS drop is client side. Both are pretty big problems in WvW zergs.

Intel i7 is useless for gaming.
and I use Intel i7…
i5 quad is good enough for gaming.
