Need help choosing weapons for my Warrior.
For melee, I use a great sword or hammer. You give up a little defense, but get back a lot more damage potential. Great sword is good when you need to be mobile, hammer is good if you need to keep someone else from being mobile.
For ranged, I normally use a long bow when facing packs of multiple enemies or a rifle when facing a single, strong opponent. Long bow has better AoE skills, the rifle has better single target focused fire skills.
And remember that despite the heavy armor warriors aren’t indestructible juggernaughts. Champions can tear through you like a wet napkin, and even weaker enemies can take you down pretty quick if you get caught in the middle of a pack. Soften them up with ranged attacks first, then jump into melee for the kill. And dodge. A lot.
Spin to win as a warrior and you’ll unleash the DPS.
Longsword / Mainhand – Axe /offhand – Rifle / ranged is what I use….
The axe in the offhand gives you a spinning attack aoe and a dual blade strike. The Longsword gives you a ground covering leaping strike.
Plus I like the Berserker feel of a dual wielding warrior

For my damage-based warrior, I use dual-swords or a rifle to inflict bleed stacks and focus on condition damage and precision stats on weapons and gear. I put points in Arms, Strength and Discipline trait lines.
It’s a pretty good build for questing, but I had some issues with it during AC. I did include some control and support skills, but I might have to reconsider a different trait line build to re-spec in for dungeon runs.
But, I will say the Two-handed sword moves are soooo sweet! :B
