I am at a cross roads.

On one hand I really want to make Sunrise for my Gaurdian. I have everything but the gold to buy the precursor and everything else I need so I need to be saving up.

On the other hand I could spend the 100+ gold I have been saving up on some cultural armor or the like.

I have full exotic gear and enjoy farming dungeons, CS, and light WvW. Unfortunately when i look at how much further I have to go for my Legendary it feels like I better not spend 1 copper because its going to take me forever anyway to farm those mats.

What should I do?

Obviously, no one can just make the decision for you, but I have a small list of things to consider for you….

Legendaries do take a long time to get, where as cultural armor and other high end gear, may take less than a month for typical casual player that knows how to make decent money. So if you can make the money fairly quickly, go ahead and blow it on culture armor, but make sure you have the transmutation stones to put em on a exotic set, and eventually (when it finally rolls around) ascended armor.

Now for legendary. They are cool, I really like sunrise, even though I know we are both minority since most prefer twilight or a different weapon, but it does come with a perk; once ascended rolls around, you will automatically have it upgraded, which means that much less grinding for a new weapon and infusion upgrades. Also, don’t forget there will be more weapons in the future, so you may find that you like a new GS legendary or exotic better than it.

what race are you might i ask? just outta curiosity.

i play a Guardian as well and i too am going for a legendary (Juggernaut) and i am a huge fan of the Norn t3 cultural armour. though i do see more and more people sporting the cultural armour. ; )))

as the post above, we can’t decide for you, but i will say, if i see you with a Sunrise, i will stop and stare at you and offer you a compliment. if i see you in cultural / well put together armour, i will stop and stare at you and offer you a compliment. lol. but not that that means anything so i guess it really depends on which you value more, or want more. and do you want sth now? or keep working towards something?

another thing to note – pre-cursor prices fluctuate a lot. and with said “scavenger hunt” coming, if and when it comes.. and we don’t know what it is yet exactly, may have som indication on how the pricing of pre-cursors will be.

whereas on the other hand, i want to say that cultural armour’s cost will remain static.

if you ultimately want both, than perhaps keep saving up for the pre-cursor? cause even if the prices drops dramatically one day for whatever reason, you can pick that up, and maybe have leftover to contribute to your cultural armour?

I am Norn, because Norn is the best race. (is that racist?) I think I am going to keep working towards Sunrise. Its been my goal from day 1 and I think it fits the gaurdian perfectly. Thanks for the input guys!
