Need help figuring out rune stacking
You’re correct in thinking that you’d need 2 of the same rune of the 2nd effect. So if you wanted all 6 bonuses, you need a set of 6 of those runes.
You are correct in your question, one rune will only give you the first bonus.
To get the second, you have to use 2 of the same named rune.(Yes, it has to be the exact same name rune)
Hope that helps.
Hey Daddicus,
Not sure if you’ve stubble across the following link, but it helped me wrap my head around runes so I figured I’d share.
Cheers!
The question I have had and never been able to find the answer to is this: if you have 5 of a given superior rune…do ALL the bonuses stack, or do you only get the highest number?
i.e.:
(1) +5% pwr
(2) +24 vit
(3) +15 % pwr
(4) +35 vit
(5) +40 % pwr
Does this mean you get a total of +40% pwr and +35 vit?
or does it mean you get a total of +60%pwr and +69 vit?
thanks!
You get the cumulative total so the second of your choices.
You get the cumulative total so the second of your choices.
Wow!
sweet, thanks for clearing that up.
So, if I have 6 of one rune, that means I get 6 of #1, 6 of #2, etc? Seems kind of unbalanced.
No, it means you get each bonus once. The guy was asking if you get the highest value or the cumulative sum of them.
So, it would be pretty stupid to apply a 6th superior rune of the pirate, because all you would get is a 5% chance of a parrot. Is that correct?
I guess I wasted my money on that one.
Unless you want that chance for a parrot, yeah XD If you’re doing for just MF, go for Traveler or Noble as your 6th piece. Whichever is cheaper at this point, I believe it is the Noble rune.
