Q:

Hi guys, i kinda have a problem. I got 400 cooking yesterday and im poor now because i spent a lot of money on it. I have checked out some guides, but they havnt worked for me. Does anyone have any good guides i can do to get some money. I am a level 37 necromancer, also if any of you could give me some money too, that will be most appreciated. Add me in-game if you want to help me, Thanks.

At your level you don’t have access to gold much.

My advice.
1) don’t do crafting now. It’s a gold sink and not useful for you at your level. Wait till you are level 80 to consider maxing crafting. Buy gear from the trading post no more often than every 10 levels. Buy with karma or use drops whenever possible.
2) be sure to carry harvesting tools and harvest everything. Sell what you get for the best prices you can get on the trading post.
3) buy salvage kits with karma if you salvage. Many karma merchants sell rough salvage kits and several cultural weapon sellers sale fine salvage kits for karma. Sell all mats salvaged on the trading post.
4) check all drops on the trading post before vendering. Some are worth more there.

here is a list of what you can purchase with karma and where.

OK – I’ll be nice.

What just happened was you just got a lesson about life. If you waste money, it’s gone and it won’t come back. You should have thought about why you were spending gold on something and whether it was a sensible thing to do.

You’re lucky – a lot of people don’t learn that until they lose their life savings at age 70 plus to some con-man on the doorstep.

Right – advice:-
Get out there and kill stuff, make sure you complete your daily tasks while you’re at it. That will probably involve doing some collecting too.

Now, don’t craft anything. Don’t salvage anything.
Look at what you’ve got and see what you can sell it for on the TP – not the buyers offer- look for the lowest seller’s offer and match it. When you’ve sold everything you can that way, vendor the rest.

Remember – crafting and salvaging are a mugs game.

You got a couple of useful and kind answers, count yourself lucky on that. The one thing that wasn’t mentioned and should be is that asking random people for money just because you would like them to give you some is considered begging or panhandling and will arouse ire and abuse. It might even be a forum violation.

So ask for advice, ask for actual in-game help with things like jump puzzles or personal stories, but don’t ask for donations of coin or gear. It won’t end well.

At level 37 right now you have some very easy access to gold. Get some steel sickle/axe/picks and start chopping/mining. Both Gold Ore and Seasoned Wood Logs are selling for nice amounts right now. Do the same with platinum when you are high enough level.

The wiki has some locations for the rich nodes. Some of those will always spawn in the same location.
