Guild Wars 2

Hey guys, I purchased a physical copy of GW2 when it was first released but was just able to start playing now. I installed the game however now there is a download which seems to be over 7gb. Is the the game client itself or are these just the patches?

looks like a mix, the dvd, being brought out wasn’t complete cause they kept working after the dvd’s where shipped. The total game is over 14 GB big on release and there has been some patches in the past. To paly the game you need to get them all.

If you are on a restricted line (not being able to download that much), you might want to get i ntouch with someon in real life, copy from the game folder the file gw2.dat on a usb-drive, and then bring it to the same folder on your computer. It saves the time needed to download. Keep in mind you need to format the usb-drive to ntfs to be able to store the file and it has to be a big stick (over 16GB).
