hello all ill cut to the chase.

When I play gw2 I play WvW, and all I do is roam. Its all I enjoy doing and its all I want to do. However, this particular activity yeilds essentially no loot and no gold, (unless luck favours you, which is hasn’t in my case XD) and recently I decided that after almost 2 years of roaming, that I would like a legendary(being quip). Unfortunately I detest pve, and If I ever want to be able to roam WvW with my confetti spraying pistol, im going to have to do some serious pve.

So, I was hoping that some of you guys who spend their time doing pve could give me some advice for the current most efficient and reliable way of acquiring gold. I already know of many ways of doing this (dungeons, frostforge etc) But I thought id take the time to check with more experienced pve’ers in the case that I may have missed something.

my main obstacles are: t6 matts, icy runestones and ectos.

I just finished howler the other day, and I can’t think about the catacombs of ascalon without wanting to slash my wrists open and die. Spanking that spider queen 3 times a day grew really painful, and I think graveling burrows give me post traumatic stress.

But in all seriousness, I can give you some decent pointers.

How are you on skill points? Do you have enough for the clovers and shards? Any more other than that can easily be converted to gold through a number of ways, depending on how much clicking you can handle. I know a spreadsheet that explains everything, but typically kitten T2 mats take a kittens worth of clicking and TP patience and can get you like .5 s per skill point, while lodestones give .2 s per sp (stay away from glacial and crystal) and mystic weapons are only a couple clicks but give like .10 per sp.

Anyway, ecto. Try doing world bosses!! To get loads of yummy rares for ectos. If you do decide to commit to the grueling soulcrushing 6-9 dungeon path per day schedule that I did, you can get even more ecto by slavaging dungeon exotics (soldier rabid dire or magi) for incriptions dark matter and ecto (CoF rare light hoods too).

T6 mats will build over time, and after you have like 500 gold or whatnot and all the ectos from salvaging, you can buy them. Then work on the precursor funds, followed by the legendary gift. For quip you need the gift of wood, which I needed for my legendary, and I can tell you that if you ask your guildmates for their wood, they’d be more than happy to become part of your gift of wood, if you catch my drift.

Laurels > t6 bags
Dungeons; daily cof, coe, ac, hotw1, se1-3
Tokens buy exotic weap for mf, if dungeon sells rare armor 70+ buy light armor and salvage or just exptics to mf (ie cof)
Craft daily damask and deldri,

Farming mats; if u have 7 characters lv 70+ u can do lemongrass farm, respawns every hr, 1 run is like 10 mins or less. U can also do plat farm, some rich nodes are always at same spot.

One thing more, during massive farmable living world content, like pavillion always do it.
I saw the good farm very late, like 3 weeks after, still had like 2-3 weeks to farm.
I farmed 3k gold in 7 days , with good rng,
On average it was 2+ gold on goldbox with smart method opening champ bags, so not the normal way, u can get a gold box every 10-12 min.
Gauntlet tickets ive farmed too, i got 10 lyssa recipe from less than 5k chances, just good rng, normal ppl rng would be 1 in 1k to 2k
Too bad u missed out on that

Ps, sell rares unless its cheaper than 1 ecto.
Rare gs dagger staff sword etc sell for 80 silver, vs normally 40-47 silver. Cos expensive precursor.
Keep in mind the 15% tax.

I got a lot more methods to farming and make easy gold but too lazy to type, btw the daily short dungeons, like 9 ish paths take max 3 hrs, unless u pug it
