Guild Wars 2

Hi guys, i’m a bit new to the game. Being playing for some months now and I keep track of the forums to see what to do and how to level my hero properly. I managed to reach lvl 80 with a norn ranger and now in the forums I see people who say that can make something like 5gold/hour from farming. How is that even possible?

I have earned like 20gold in total for all my GW2 experience. Am I playing a different game? I am not a hardcore player and want to be good before going to PVP or WVW, so I stay in the PVE but cant imagine to earn enough gold for good gear. I need some tips pls!

I would also like to know if it is super important to be part of a guild. I’m not. I’ve never been. When I started playing the only available server was German, so I chose it. I dont understand what people in my world are saying. I cant understand the guild descriptions. Am I missing a great part of the game not being part of a guild?

ok welcome to the game. and going throw PvE to get good is a great idea to get warmed up to WvW. but in order to get good at WvW or PvP is to actually go in there. now to making gold some people have their ways like TP flipping. but what i do to make monie is running dungeons and node farming. now for guilds and why it may or may not be important is all up to the players perspective my guild to me is my family. and what you may have a problem with your server being German is they may speak German witch if you don’t speak it fluently or grasp it you wont know whats going on. May be better segested to change servers to EU or NA English servers.

Thanks, man. About dungeons, I play for two-three hours a day, and waiting 30mins, begging for a group is just frustrating. But I will give it another try. Maybe I should change server, but any idea if its going to be free again?

I agree in about an hours worth of running i usually bank around 4-6g easy and having max inventory helps a lot as well just park your character next to a merchant and you can sell right before you enter CoF agine
