New Guild Creation
If you’re starting off with nobody that you really know then I would hold off on choosing officers until a later time. This will allow you to get to know the members and who would be a good fit to become an officer.
So first off you can make it so your co-leaders have all the same permissions as you. Even so far as they could demote you if you don’t make a separate rank for yourself to retain “ownership” of the guild. :P So go for that multi-leader structure if you want.
Secondly, if you’re going to fin co-leaders, there are two important requirements they should meet:
1. You need to be able to trust them.
2. You need to share your vision of the guild with them, and they need to share that vision.
As for where to find them, you can try interacting with people and forming friendships with either people in this or another forum community, or with people in the game who play the same content you’re interested in.
I’d suggest starting the guild by yourself and getting a few members and “officers” and then see who among your guild seems like a good fit for co-leadership.
Thanks for the info, I’ll certainly consider starting off alone and get to know the others before appointing a co-leader.
In that regard:
1. can a person with the “edit ranks” permission change the ranks of equal rank players? or even higher rank players?
2. Is it wise to make the choosing of a co-leader a public thing.. thus turning it to an actual topic among guild mates, or is it just better to keep it all to yourself until you make up your mind completely?
