Guild Wars 2

So I bought the game yesterday an downloaded it, but I have yet to start playing. I have no idea what server or “world” to play on. It seems that many if the popular ones and known ones are Full. I know that the world one chooses in this game is important because of the world community and world vs. world. Is there a server that has good people( or one that I should avoid?)

I just picked one the other week that was med i had a choice of two at that time. To be fair i have seen loads of new players and such so its been nice even on a med server

Henge of Denravi is a nice PvE server. We keep getting creamed in WvW, but I almost always see people around when I’m in the world. No idea about the regular PvP scene.

What time will you be playing mostly? That impacts how many people will be around.

I’m enjoying life on Devona’s Rest. It seems like a good server.

While Eredon Terrace (NA) is also getting regularly creamed in WvW, there’s usually stuff going on in map chat no matter where you are. I’ve been happy with the community (though at times it seems sparse…).

And, like Gil asked, what days and times do you plan to play? EU and US servers have different peak hours, and there are also differences between servers in the same region.

Personally I chose Tarnished Coast because well I live on the West Coast :P but that was when the game was released so WvW wasn’t a factor for me. TC has very friendly people and I guess is called the “Role Playing Home World” (If you are into that :P) If you decide to play in TC you are more than welcome to add me and I can show you the ropes!

I advise that you join a world with a good community and player attitude before WvW.
From my experience most WvW contains DB’s and ego hunters.

I found your server maybe kicking butt in the World rankings but if the community sucks you don’t feel like playing the game in general.

I would definitely recommend not joining HoD. If my guild wasn’t already here I would have transferred in a heartbeat.
