Guild Wars 2

I am currently downloading this game and I have two friends who just started and they chose guardian and warrior, so I wanted to complement the group with either and Elementalist or a Mesmer. Looking for advice on how these professions play their roles in team work and what would work best with my friend’s chosen professions. Any tips?

Choosing a class is based on your playstyle preferences and such.

Thank you for the quick response! I usually enjoy ranged combat while still supporting my party members as much as possible. I tend to find myself filling a supportive role and don’t mind doing so. I like the complexity of the Mesmer and Elementalist, or at least from what I have seen here on the website. Any ideas for me?

Elementalist is pretty much standard if one is absent. An absurdly potent class in the right hands.

If you like ranged combat, Elementalist especially. A Mesmer’s ranged options are simply awful outside of PvP, whereas Ele has the best DPS option in game on their ranged option. No, for those other than OP, Fiery Exploit Sword doesn’t count.

OH alright, yeah the videos just make every class look amazing obviously so its great to get some real input thanks! Probably going to go with elementalist!

Yeah based off what you said i would also suggest a staff or scepter/focus ele. If also suggest reading this
