Guild Wars 2

Hey guys, I bought the game when it first came out but am just now going to start seriously playing. I intend to mostly PvP, and would like some opinions on which class would suit me best.

I have it narrowed down to Mesmer, Thief or Necromancer.

I like the idea of being a caster, but thief is still an option as I will mostly be playing solo.
I don’t want to play the FoTM, but I would appreciate some insight on which classes can do well, and perhaps which class has the highest skillcap?

What kind of PvP are you planning on doing?

WvW Roaming/sPvP = Thief,
WvW Zerging = Necromancer (Mesmers in this are just used as time warp/portal bots),
Everything else = Mesmer.
