Guild Wars 2

Hi guys,

I’ve never played Guild Wars before, so my girlfriend and I thought we’d give GW2 a go. She’s downloaded it fine but my internet connection sucks something awful, I’m still below 50% after downloading all night. Would it be possible to just copy the files across from her computer? I don’t want to risk screwing up the download and starting all over again!

Yes! It is possible to copy the files I’ve done this myself to save some downloading. Also, for future reference, you can close the launcher in mid-download. It’ll just pick up where it left off so you don’t have to worry about having to download all over again from scratch.

I know how you feel. My download speed is maxed at 60kb/s and I have a 10gb download cap per month.

note if you have a lack of overall speed its always worth investigating that as well, make sure you don’t have some leaky spyware going and your getting the numbers you where promised by your service provider, can make all the difference when this game starts exploding in both size and streaming data like wow did
