New Player looking for HELP
Open the Game Menu by clicking the gear icon at the upper right of your screen. The 2nd button is Options, go there and play with your settings.
Glhf and welcome to the party!
Yeah I have done that.
I have made sure that the following options have been UNTICKED
However, when you are in dungeons, it doesn’t help, all the names still appear.
Show Enemy Names – Unticked
Show Player Names – Unticked
Show NPC Names – Unticked
Trying playing with the character model limit and quality options also. If you have model limits on low, the game will show the names.
Nope. Model limit set to highest.
No change.
Anyone?
This is game breaking for me.
Hello? Anyone? Could use some help here. Can I edit the ini maybe?
Wow…
I guess i’ll just go back to WoW until this issue is solved. I refuse to play an MMO where I am forced to take damage simply because of clunky UI design.
=\
thanks for the help, I guess.
Bye.

Nice overreaction..anyway:
1. Try using Simple Condition Floaters option. Only other suggestion I can offer is try zooming in/out since this usually helps me see the enemies easier. I dont usually notice the dmg numbers since I constantly melee, but I agree there should be an option to maybe make them smaller or hide them altogether since it sometimes blocks players views. I also agree that with some groups there is so much condi stacking and so many graphical effects from skills that players cast that it makes it hard to see the enemies clearly and dodge them. One specific situation that bothers me is the Leurent boss fight in TA forward path. If I were to solo him I’d be able to watch his animations clearly and dodge, but with groups generally thre is so much clutter around him, pets, smoke, AoE firefields. etc. that most times I cant see him at all, and dodging his attks correctly is more about luck and guesswork than actual skill. But then again, in dungeons it is more of a group effort and you can usually expect to be downed at least once. In large-scale fights usually your more concerned about spamming skills/buttons than actually worrying that you cant clearly see the boss and dodge his animations. For instance, try the Dwayna/Lyssa world boss fights.
2. Like someone alry said, uncheck Show Enemy Names. you probably had this checked but in general all you need to worry about is seeing others players names above their heads, I do agree there should be an option to hide this, but other that it doesnt really bother me.
