Ok there is a lot to process here.

Can some1 add me on skype so we can talk ? The reason is in my country many of the graphic cards you mentioned are not sold and I dont really know how to build it on my own. We got our own website where you can actually pick the parts you want, but I need some help, because I heard it might not be compatible.

I still got a lot of help from you guys, I just need to work out a few details and I can actually make it on my own without spending to much money on useless things.

Am personally running on an i7 with Nvidia 580GTS and 8gig ram with no issues…
So I’d say either the 3rd or 4th

Build 3 if you can overclock the CPU.

Fact is GW2 runs better on nvidia GPU’s so I’d be hesitant to buy the other 3.

IT’S A SWORD. THEY’RE NOT MEANT TO BE SAFE.

Don’t overclock please, its only for the show offs who think they are cool when they do it, without even realising that nothing fully supports 4ghz+ cores out there.

But on something I said in another thread, if you plan on getting more than 8GB ram, make sure the Windows OS you have (has to be 64bit also) can support more than 8GB. Windows 7 Home/Basic for instance only supports up to 8GB.

I’m running an i5 2500k (@ 4.5ghz) with a GTX 480 and i have zero issues when playing, not done WvW but done some of the bigger world events (the one with the hands that people rage about) and didn’t get lag despite 50+ people spamming abilities.

I would personally go for an unlocked i5 over an i7 (the i7 usually just does hyperthreading too which is useless for most gaming) and use the money i saved to get a decent graphics card and decent memory.

I also got a question for the 3rd build: isnt the graphic card bad ?
Memory Specs:Memory Clock (MHz) 4008 Gbps
Standard Memory Config 1024
Memory Interface GDDR5
Memory Interface Width 256-bit
Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec) 128 152

That just isn’t true of every person or every situation. That’s the problem with broad generalizations; there are exceptions. Overclocks by users may improve performance without compromising stability or usable hardware life of CPUs and GPUs given sufficient cooling and power supply.

I’ve been looking at a new PC also.
Personally I ‘m leaning towards the i5-3570K @ 3.4ghz. it’s usually about the same price as the 2550K from what I’ve seen. I also really like the Sabertooth motherboard. I’ve always had good luck with Asus and a friend has a previous Sabertooth and is happy with it.
I’d stick with a Power supply of 750+ though from a reputable builder (Personally prefer Corsair Seasonic XFX).

Helpful website if you haven’t seen it yet: www.pcpartpicker.com helps you find the best prices on the gear you want. Not sure if it will have your local prices though.

I like #2
I recommend one change. Buy the Cooler Master Haf X or 932. Use the money you save to buy a Radeon 7970.

Hi !

Are these pre-made computers ? You say you don’t know much about computers, so I would guess this is the case, yes ?

Build #1 has slow RAM – you want DDR3 1600, not 1333. I don’t know why they’d put 1333 with an i7. The GPU is not the best, either – you should ideally drop the CPU to an i5 and up the GPU.

  1. is the best one you have listed, in my opinion – but it depends on how much they want to charge you for it. It has more RAM than you need, but at least the GPU is good and you’re not paying for more CPU than you need.
  1. This is okay. If it’s more expensive than #2, definitely don’t get it. The CPU is better, but the GPU is slightly weaker. #2 would still be my first choice. You ask if the GPU is bad, the GPU is solid – when the “bugs” are worked out, you should expect 60fps + from that card. However, it seems they are running a bit buggy right now, but it might be an end-user issue.
  1. slightly weaker GPU than #2, more CPU than you need. Would upgrade to 8Gb RAM.

Verdict : Get #2 ! If these are pre-built, #2 is your best option. However, you could make it a bit better if you built it yourself, but this should play GW2 great regardless.

One thing is, if you do not plan on overclocking, a lot of money is going toward parts that you can overclock when you don’t need them. They are good systems, but if you’ve got a budget, that’s an area you could cut down cost.

I don’t know about GW2 running better on nVidia. I’ve seen tons of people having trouble with higher-end nVidia cards, yet I’m running great with an HD 6870.

I would personally avoid No.4 as the 2×4870′s wont be particularly good (a 560Ti will run better than these)

From the info you have on there i would go for No.2 or No.3 as i believe the 560Ti is better than the 6850 that No.1 has.

So first choice for me would be No.2 (SSD and best graphics card)
Second choice would be No.3 (and its well behind my first choice)

I’m assuming all are pre-build and as you mention no price all around the same price?

If that’s the case go option #2, it’s by far the best. The gpu is way faster than those off option #1 and #3 They have faster cpu’s but the gpu is way more important in games and it’s not like the cpu of option #2 is bad, far from it. As a nice little bonus you also have an ssd which is nice to have for installing your os and programs on.

Don’t bother at all with option #4 the graphics cards are old and the only reason they might keep up is because there’s 4 gpu’s in total on those two cards. Scaling is too bad to be worth it and it’s all very driver and game dependent.

DABhand.2079: same question as Lazrial.

Someone else mentioned it already, and I’ll just reiterate it. You will not see any benefit from going for the i7 over the i5 while gaming. If money is a consideration, get the i5. I just upgraded my processor, motherboard, and RAM, specifically for GW2 and CS:GO. The mobo/processor combo I bought was this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1033223

The 3570k just came out a few months ago, and will serve you well for many years to come. The ‘k’ in the model number means that it is unlocked (able to be overclocked). Do not bother overclocking it when you get it. Instead, wait several years when you are not quite getting the FPS you had hoped for in newer games, and then over clock it. The locked version is about $20-30 cheaper, so you can save money there too if you never plan to overclock.

In CS:GO, I was getting 20-50 FPS before making this upgrade. Now, I get 200-300 FPS, and I’m still using a 5 year old nVidia 8800GT. An upgraded video card would allow me to maintain that same high FPS, but on ultra high settings. Right now I play on medium-high.

As far as my FPS in GW2, I get 70-100 FPS on medium-high settings. There really isn’t much benefit in having a higher framerate in RPG’s, so I’m not going to bother with a better video card until I absolutely need to. If you go with the mobo/processor I suggested, and any of the video cards you listed, you will have an amazingly smooth game without overspending on an i7.
