Good day for everyone i start play few days ago .. i need some helps and answers so here is it .

My question is how is ranger do in pve spvp WvWvW.

I thinking about two class i choose for play but im not sure what i pick

Ranger or guardian i mostly play in wow and another mmos hunter ranger etc .. but now i feel for guardian but im not sure how doing in pve spvp WvWvW (guardian ).

Im on aurora glade is it a good server ? i dont have guild but i try find on forum but i dont see any guild from aurora glade how i can find active guild with medium size and active players in peak time. My english is not perfect but i think i can improve it coz english guild.

I rly thinking about all aspect the game have it Pve Spvp WvWvW.

My question is about PVE is boring or something like that i know about ascended gear but what i can farm in a pve skins or golds ?

Spvp is active or nobody play it ? I try some arenas i mean soloQ and for me was fun im not sure if u need a skill but was funny for.

WvWvW i dont understand how play it i have no clue whats going on.

Another Q is wich profession for guardian or ranger is good …and its hard to making on the max setting i mean cap lvl profession like jwc leatherworking etc.

and another Question is this game is not dead i know it but its not like a all ppl around the world play in max numbers 5k players coz i like a big numbers if ppl play MMO like WoW.

Somewhere in your home City is an Asura Portal to Lions Arch, from there you can take other Portals to the other Citys and go to their starter zones.

Guardian probably has a better spot in all three game modes but I love my Ranger.

Ranger – In PvE they’re in an ok place. Enjoyable to play with some fun weapons. PvP they seem to be less desired than they were but I understand they’re not too bad in hotjoin stuff. WvW is where we fall down a bit. We’re good for Solo roaming but not so much in small/large groups.

Guardian – They’re pretty good all around. I only really play Guardian in WvW where they’re pretty strong.

Aurora Glade is a really good server. If you’re interested then my guild is always recruiting. Message me in game or on here if you’re interested.

Depends what you think is boring. There’s no real vertical gear progression (apart from Ascended) so if you’re looking for that it’s not really here. There are however plenty of skins but obtaining them can be difficult as they’re usually random drops.

Yes PvP is active. And yes you’ll need some skill which you’ll pick up over time.

WvW is probably easier to explain if you find a guild and they can take you in and show you what’s going on.

Crafting wise then for Guardian I’d say Armorsmith and Weaponsmith and for Ranger I’d say Leatherworker and then either Huntsman, Chef or Jeweler.

I don’t really get the last question. No it’s not dead and I always see people around but I’m usually zone hopping for different reasons (gathering, world bosses etc.) so I either see people doing the same or just glimpse them as I run by.

Sword rangers are nice to have around in WvW if they trait spotter and stay near the frontline of their group. It is counter intuitive so most people don’t try it.

I’m not really a big RP-player .. but axe as ranger just doesn’t fit for me.
However i would like to use dual swords as ranger

I like the axe on the ranger – good when there are lots of enemies about as it ricochets off one skull to the other.

Also bear in mind that this is unlike any other MMO. If you are used to playing hunter/ranger types in WoW or others, you’ll find it is VERY different and in no way similar. As far as builds go you won’t have to worry about that until MUCH later. You won’t start getting any traits until level 30, and even then it will be very few, certainly not enough to even start making a build until lvl 80. But don’t worry it doesn’t take that long to get there. Just gear up with whatever you can find that is better than what you have. Otherwise just have fun exploring, learning your profession, finding what weapons sets work the best, etc.

You shouldn’t have too much trouble doing them. The mobs may be a little tougher, but not impossible. If you are still having trouble, do some exploring, do some events, you personal story, and kill things until you are leveled up a bit. Also if you are having a hard time doing the heart quests, try changing your weapons, the various weapons offer different skills, so a different weapon set might make a world of difference.

I recommend that you use the trading post to get a minor sigil of bloodlust for your weapon, and a minor rune of fire, strength, hoelbrak and ogre, for the boost in power. Also, make sure you have a supply of food and maintenance oil or sharpening stones and remember to use them. The consumables will increase your exp gained from fighting in addition to making you more survivable. If you get stuck, ask for help in map chat. Maybe someone will join you.

Well i still not sure what i going play if ranger or guardian i watching streams and read here posts and i feel like a ranger is something like a NO U ARE NOT WELCOME IN PARTY/PVP/ ETC.

I try play guardian with two hand sword ..not sure if i have a spend some coins for trading post and buying a gear for leveling.

Ranger well i know he is totally different from wow and others mmos ..but my Question is. Longbow or shortbow is good for playing in all modes what game a have ?

axe doesn’t do great dps compared to the greatsword which will hit the same amount of people (cleave hits the same as bouncing) and has very good evades on it.

and in other situations where it doesn’t bounce, there are generally much better options
