Guild Wars 2

So, I just started last night and met two people already. However they dont get on till much later. So I need people to play with during the day, and problem is it seem everyone is anti-social:/ I ask if anyone wants to party up and never get a reponse. Only thing I hear is ‘troll up’. I saw a group a players once for a short event, and then they all left.

I feel like im missing 90% of the experiance having to go solo, and its getting boring going thorough these quests on my and its really the reason I quit WoW in the first place.

Im in queensdale on the Isle on Janthir server. Up for making friends and playing with a group.:)

Also, is it just me or is the world supposed to feel empty. Theres a lot of times I just dont seeing anyone except NPCs. Isle of Janthir said its pop was high but it just seems so empty.

Population open world zones is going to be kind of low now because most people are level 80, in dungeons/wvw/LA looking for dungeon groups/etc. Also during the day alot of people are at work. Queensdale is the most populated starter zone though

I really wish people would just find compatible guilds. Guilds are often superior to just friends, because you’d need a whole lot of just friends to all be on at the same time and also provide people with a variety of knowledge, interests and experience.

Finding a compatible guild is getting harder and harder. There is less guild recruitment going on the smaller family-style guilds which are what most people are looking for (unless you’re looking for the mindless, large, zergy guilds which there are plenty of [recruiting]).

But I agree, getting a guild is the best thing you can do when you’re still beginning.

Yeah as some other people have said, finding a good guild is the best way to make friends and have people to play with in the game. The trouble is sometimes it can be hard finding a guild that works for you.

Regardless, feel free to add me or chat with me or whatever in-game. If you really want, I could send you a guild invite too, but I’m in Borlis Pass and I’d suggest finding a guild on your own server.

I partially agree with you.

However, I hang out mostly with my friends on my friends list MORE than my active social guild. This is because I am more connected to my friends on my friend’s list and they are all in different guilds. I always do things with my friends than my guildies.

Because of this: In my opinion I believe that quality of friends are more important than quantity of friends.

If your friends happen to be all in the same guild with you and you do a lot of stuff with them, then that’s even BETTER!

But I dont agree guilds are better than just friends. As for my reason above.

Idk I think guilds are good because they just give you an easy way to make friends. I mean instead of finding individual friends throughout the game, if you join a guild you have a whole group of people right there to meet and befriend. Also especially if you’re a new player, guilds can be really great for helping you understand the game and your class and get started with everything. I don’t think one is necessarily better than the other, I think the point is just that guilds make it easier to make friends.

Hey everyone, just an update. I have met much more nice people, and have even joined a guild! Glad to say that this community is really kitten! Cant wait to spend more time in the game and with the community!

Ive been playing solo for quite a while.. Joined a guild that played during a different time than me.. I work, they dont.. How would I go about finding a Guild in the first place? Im lvl80 and am at end game for the solo storyline, but cant play it without atleast 5 players… Havent tried out the dungeons because, again, need atleast 5 players.. So, anyone who’s interested hit me up, Im good with helping you with your missions as well as mine.
