I just reached lvl 80 on my second character, and thus far I have not yet redeemed any of the tasks rewards (AKA: ‘hearts’). My question is thus: If I pop a Karma Booster and then accept the rewards, will I get the extra 50% karma?

If not, under what circumstances do the Karma Boosters function? The wiki only said that the boosters do not increase Karma from consumables.

You can only obtain karma by events and personal/living story, then if you use it you gain +50% karma by events and story.

But every Renown Heart (I looked up the correct terminology in the wiki; probably should’ve done that before the first post) I get also awards Karma. I assume by your reply that you mean the booster will not affect the Renown Heart Karma awards, but I’m not certain. Could you clarify that a bit for me?

Karma boosters will indeed increase the amount of karma you get from doing hearts and events. You can increase it even more by using a guild karma banner, nourishment such as ice cream or a kralkachocolate bar, and a guild boost.

Double-click to gain a buff that increases any karma gained by 50% for one hour. This does not affect karma gained from consumable items.

  • By consumable items it’s referring to items like liquid karma, such as what you get when you complete your dailies.
