Guild Wars 2

Hey there, I’ve had a copy of GW2 since it came out, but I haven’t really played since I was more confused over the crafting system which is what I love the most in nearly any MMO I’ve played. So I started the completionist side of myself and tried just grinding out zones for map completion. I got burnt out very very fast.

Since then I haven’t really played too many MMO’s since. So essentially I’m asking for any advice you guys would like to impart on me. I’m set up on Jade Quarry, and I’m curious what you guys think would be an easy class that will be quite easy to fund.

Also, any suggestions on leveling paths or tips that would be helpful just starting out I’ll take. I’m rereading the combat system guide, the tips stickied and then looking into profession forums for guides for information about each class. But reading about a class is different than actually playing and such so any advice would be much appreciated.

to be honest, just try different professions. All of them cost about the same to gear and now with the Megaserver, it does not matter what server you are on. Also with the megaserver, it is easier to find people to “Map” with. As the new trait system requires players to do certain events and map the zones to get access to traits. If you feel yourself getting burnt out, just stop mapping or grinding and try something different. sPvP (Skill PvP) now allows for players to gain Tomes of Knowledges, which grants levels per tome. So if you prefer to pvp, that may be a good way for you to level. It also can provide you with gear through Dungeon tracks in PvP. Hope this helps in some way/shape/form!

My advice to you is not to play this game as a completionist. I can easily ruin the game for you.

You don’t have to do everything AT ONCE. There’s time to do it.
