Guild Wars 2

So I got the game last week when it was 50% off because a friend of mine told me to play it with him.

Only problem is he’s on Jade Quarry and it has been full since the day I got the game. I have been checking the server status everyday now and am losing hope.

Any idea when the server should open up? Specific hot times perhaps.

And yes I do want to play WvW with him…

Try at the weirdest hours in the middle of the night. The full servers sometimes drop to very high at the lowest participation times.

On the other hand, if your main thing is not to play WvW with your friend, pick any available NA server. You can do everything else except World versus World together.

While I can see wanting to join your friend in WvW, a new player is at an extreme disadvantage there. You don’t have utility skills, elite skills, traits or decent gear and it takes several levels to get all your weapon skills. In other words, you’ll get killed repeatedly for quite some time.

It wouldn’t hurt to get on any server and learn the game. then when a spot opens up you can either pay to transfer or delete that character and transfer for free. Leveling is pretty fast in this game and you can regain the lost levels just by playing. Or you can go straight in to WvW and already have some idea how to play as well as some gold saved up from previous.
