Guild Wars 2

so im sort of new to guild wars 2, i did play the original guild wars but that game was different then this one.

So im looking for tips to help me out, like im not sure what my first class should be and how i should level cause i notice once you finish your first story mission the next one is a level higher then your current level. Im wondering if thats ok to continue doing it or just level up so it wont be as hard to complete

Hello and welcome! The easiest classes to level are warrior, guardian and ranger but any class is easy enough if you make sure to upgrade your gear frequently. Story missions are not a very good way to level since most missions are a few levels apart, try exploring the world by doing hearts, events, vistas, skill points and points of interests.
