Hi all! Been playing for 3 days now and i love the game, but there is some stuff i need to ask..

1. Im lvl 34 now, is it any point in going pvp now? And what do i get from it?
2. I just bought a skin/costume, but im leveling so im changing gear alot, had to use 1 transmute transfer from my old boots to my new, how do i get more transmute points? Or do i HAVE to buy more?
3. Is there any site i can use to see what stats i should focus as DPS warrior, and to see what to put skill points in etc?

1. Yes if you enjoy PvP. In sPvP you’re levelled to 80 with most traits unlocked (the number XIII trait is not unlocked) and the gear is standardised so you’ll need to set your build up. I’d advise joining practice matches first until you get the idea of your build. Rewards can be quite good. Pick the track you’d like to do and go from there.

2. You get charges from map completion (cities and world maps), sPvP rewards, or buying them.

3. Check the Warrior subforum but I believe metabattle also has some builds. Can’t promise how good they are though.

Hello and welcome to the game!
Transmutation charges are frequently dropped from personal story, map completion, and pvp reward tracks.

PvP might be something you end up enjoying, but if you don’t have a good grounding in the combat system you may find yourself becoming frustrated.

PvP is also a great place to try out different builds and get a feel for the kind of play style you want to aim for. I highly recommend using it before you make an investment into gear.

These tips have been in relation to structured pvp, not wvw. I recommend waiting until you hit 80 before trying wvw, since level 80’s will have a significant stat advantage over you. Structured pvp is balanced so that level does not matter.

Just want to add on pvp. As BarnabeJonez says, it would be really frustrating if you are still new with the pvp environment, especially when several of the players are used to it. It is hard to find a good match in hot join and unranked/ranked match might turn to be an unpleasant experience for you (assuming you have no experience in spvp).

My suggestion is that after you find your desired build, go to hotjoin server list and find “dueling” server. There you can shout out to the players and ask them to help you understanding the mechanism of your build. If you feel confident you can try to find a hotjoin match for further practice or jump into competitive matches.

But if you need help you can contact me in game. I do not know much about warrior, but I can teach you a little bit about ranger and mesmer, and maybe I can show you further tips for playing in hotjoin and unranked.

Good luck!

While leveling up you will be swapping out gear constantly. An outfit covers it all up, but skins have to be applied via a transmutation stone, so are better left until you get to level 80 and have gear you’ll keep for a while.

I rather enjoy the changing look as I’m leveling and finding new gear.
