Sounds like you probably got armor skins.. and if so, you can use them for each character.

You can store a limited amount of stuff in the bank.

There is a bank in Lion’s Arch at the Trader’s forum. (You can also access your bank account from any crafting station)

You can access the bank as soon as you have ended the tutorial .. so that should be only 5 minutes after you entered the game

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

You will only get one set of the armor. If you delete it or the character holding it then it’s gone.

If you haven’t used the skins yet then leave them as they are. Don’t put them on your armor because if you do they will become soulbound and transferring them gets much more complicated. If you have used them don’t worry, but don’t delete the character until you’re done transferring them. (See below for how.)

  • Option 1: If you’ve still got the Heroic Chest unopened.

After the introduction (when you fight a boss and then wake up and someone tells you to talk to a scout) go through a blue portal to your racial capital. (If you need directions tell us what race you are and we can help.) Then look for a round yellow icon with a black bag symbol on it. Go there and talk to an NPC with [Bank] after their name.

This opens your bank. You can put the chest in. (Note it says Account Bound in the description – this means you can’t sell it or give it away but any character on your account can use it.) Then you can create a new character, withdraw it the same way (go to the city and talk to the NPC) and use it.

  • Option 2: If you’ve opened the chest and chosen a set but not used it

This means you will have an item called either Primeval/Krytan/Profane Chest or if you opened that too a set of items for each armor slot. Like the Heroic Chest these are account bound so you can deposit them in the bank as explained above. However there is one important difference:

  • Primeval armor is heavy armor and can only be worn by warriors and guardians.
  • Krystan armor is medium armor and can only be worn by thieves, rangers and engineers.
  • Profane armor is light armor and can only be worn by elementalists, mesmers and necromancers.

This means that the new character you create to wear them must be one of the compatible professions. Otherwise the armor is useless. (If this is a problem contact GW2 Support, they should be able to help. And don’t delete anything until you hear back from them.)

  • Option 3: If you have already used the skins

If your character is already wearing them, or you have attached them to a piece of armor then you can still transfer them but it’s more complicated because they are now soulbound, meaning only that character can use them.

First you will need:

  • 1 piece of armor for each slot which has white text. Blue or green text is no good because those are higher tiers and are soulbound on use. You can buy suitable armor from merchants in towns, or find it on enemies.
  • 6 Transmutation Stones. You can buy these from the gem store or get 3 free for exploring a city (which only takes a few minutes).

Use the Transmutation Stones to put the skin onto the white armor. There are instructions on how to do it here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Transmutation
Then put the newly created, account bound, pieces into the bank. As in option two they can only be used by a character of the same armor class as your current one. You will also need to use another 6 Transmutation Stones to put the skins onto armor with decent stats as you level up.

(BTW You can buy new copies of Primeval, Krytan and Profane armor in the gem store. But it would be better to save your money and re-use the one you’ve got than do that.)
