I have too. Rares are much more common from chests now, and I even got an exotic from Maw.

I just did behemoth event, got the confirmation karma/gold/exp but there was no chest for me, other people saw it but i didn’t.
yes you can only do it once per day but also i have encounterd a bug where the chest is there but you cant see it you can run up to it and hit F to open. so if you think you didnt get it it always helps to run up to the mob and hit F.

I was hoping this is the case but then I didn’t get any rares from Megadestroyer, so while the chances are higher it’s not 100%

It has not been my experience. I have opened several chests without receiving a rare, though none that didn’t give me at least a green.

I completed megadestroyer on one of my lvl 80 characters and did not get a rare, only greens/blues.
