Guild Wars 2

I have never done WvW before and I have no idea where to start. In the WvW tab, I see a lot of things and I am unsure which to click. I tried selecting one of them and ended up alone in a map.

Which one should I join to play WvW and what are the different kinds of maps used for?
Additional advice on WvW matters are also appreciated.

I suggest you start with checking out the wiki. There is a lot of good basic info there.

What server are you on? Your best bet is to try and find a WvW guild to help you out. If it’s a low population server this may be hard to find.

1. Get Teamspeak
2. Go to Eternal Battlegrounds
3. Ask in map chat for instructions on joining your Teamspeak server
4. Look for a tag and follow it
5. Post on the WvW forum any questions you may have or ask in map chat/teamspeak

My best advice is to log into your home BorderLand via the WvW Tab and run towards one of the ‘diamonds’ on the maps and hope its a big zerg (large group).

Alternatively hang around where you log into the borderland and a zerg will appear at some point, then follow them – there is plenty around this area to checkout.

Do that enough times and you will get the WvW picture pretty fast.

Post what server you’re on and someone from these forums will probably help you in-game where it’s easier to see what to do.
