Hello guys, I was really into making a human female mesmer but the only reason stopping me from doing it is the armours. I’m not into sexy, revealing outfits, in fact, the cooler the better. So I wanted to ask you all the light class players out there to tell me if there are cool armours out there that don’t show much skin (the less the better). Any level is fine, I just need to know if I won’t be disappointed by my character’s look for most of the game. Thanks in advance.

A lot of the lower level armor (aside from starter) are not revealing at all. I actually struggle to find things that don’t cover my ele head to toe. Whether you think they look cool or not is a matter of opinion so I can’t possibly answer that.

For later levels I’m not so sure, my ele is only level 20 or so, but you can use the wiki, the PVP armor gallery or any of the galleries on fan sites to look through them all and decide for yourself.

If you were to roll a charr or asura, the females wear the male versions of the clothing which is another option, though you did say you want to roll a female human.

I think they should put a client-side option in, that would let each player decide if they wanted to see people scantily-clad or in less stripperiffic outfits. Would solve issues like this quite handily.

Umm. . .I care how I appear to other people, not to myself. I am not going to be the one sexualizing my toon; it’s the thirteen-year old gleefully spending the dungeon gushing about how pleased he is that his female toon’s breasts jiggle. (Yeah, I had that happen recently.) I assume most people wanting a modest look have motivations similar to mine.

I had the same issue with my elementalist.

So far, the Devout, Student and Cabalist armors have been OK. I’m not 80 yet so I don’t have any advice on those.

EDIT: I’m putting these up on my wiki user page. If I find more in the future I’ll add them there. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Gylisan
