Norn or Human Ranger?
Its up to personal preference. In my opinion the Norn male models are just too big and bulky which can make stacking and jumping puzzles a little more difficult. Human males are pretty generic looking so I typically don’t go for them myself. The female Norn/Human models look pretty similar with the Norn being a little taller and muscular I guess. If you plan on ever going for the Cultural armor sets you should take that into account as well.
Well if your unsure I’d play it safe and go for human, you may not love them but you won’t ever hate them. Sometimes Norn toons can feel too bulky when playing but diversity is always appreciated in the world. As it was said before me, its personal preference. Perhaps consider what other professions you will want to play in the future and if one of them would be particularly good as a human / norn then pick the other now.

Even though my main character is a human ranger I’d have to go with norn as my first choice.
I like the tattoos and I think in general they have better face and hair options, I also find their lore and society more interesting. But that’s all personal preference.
(In case anyone’s curious my main is a human because I wanted her to be descended from my GW1 characters and they had to be human.)

Female Norn ftw! Cool cultural armor, ski-lodge like environment in Hoelbrak, the weapons are bigger so legendaries stand out more, tattoos, close affinity with nature and the female Norn are just beautiful creatures. Everyone should have one or two or three!
