Guild Wars 2

With my Norn warrior I prefer an axe main hand, sword offhand weapon arrangement. However, if I use the character that way, she keeps jumping into combat stance and putting her sword up to her nose. It happens even while using the bank, far from any combat and I have been careful about what keys I hit – I am NOT inadvertently hitting a combat key. Further, when she is using those weapons in that arrangement and I am in combat, she fails to continue an attack. As far as I am concerned that makes her nearly unplayable. I would REALLY like her back to normal, I enjoy playing her.

Okay, so, I thought, well, lets try working her with sword in main hand, axe in offhand. Seemed okay at first. Then whooopsie-daisy she starts the “Whirling Axe” skill spontaneously, while I have her running someplace, no combat involved. Every time it’s off cooldown, there she goes AGAIN. So now she IS unplayable. Swell. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does your 5 skill have two arrows around the skill?

Btw, I had a family member play his Norn warrior on my computer to make sure there was no ‘stuck key’ thing going on. He has two similar weapons as one of his weapon setups and while using the same weapons as mine, there was no problem at all. I even had him play with my warrior for a couple minutes and my warrior was bugged for him as well. It’s neither me nor my computer.

Yes, there are two arrows around that skill. And she won’t continue an attack in that weapon configuration EITHER. I had the family member check his warrior and there are NOT those two arrows around the #5 skill, so I guess that’s a sign of the bug. I have no idea why they are there on my warrior. Until a couple days ago I had never tried to use those two weapons in that configuration.

Okay, a guildie told me those arrows mean auto-attack, and that I am able to MOVE them to the #1 skill, which is where they should be. So. She is NOT unplayable in that configuration: sword main, axe off-hand. And lo and behold, moving the auto-attack to the #1 skill on THAT weapon configuration (which I had never used before the other day) fixed her altogether!!! I wish I had know the significance of those arrows before, and they do NOT show on the #5 skill Riposte, even if it’s set for it.
