Hi to you all…

I have a problem… I trying for and need the “not so secret diving achievement”…

Problem is I am a really bad jumper and even though I do know all shortcuts by now, it tends to be of little help. I am trying on a mesmer, I made it earler but only started to use it actively to do do this achievement… It’s level 80 by now, fully geared and traited by now, it has max slots by now, endless tools, ascended weapons and jewels.. But no diving achievement…

I’ve been on the platform quite a few times now in 12 months. In the beginning I needed several days to get up there succesfully once , now I get a try, maybe 2 or 3, a day if I’m lucky

The fact i cant just try it 4 or 5 times in a “shorter” period is causing me to get frustated now, not being able to learn or tune the jump… I jumped down minimally 50+ times and died each time. I made the one in Dry Top in 2 tries, but it didn’t count towards the achievement -.-

I have come to the point of ragequitting each failed climb and try….
I finished 37/38 jumping puzzles.. and it’s cluttering my achievemnt panel, I can’t turn it off and the fact being each time I check my achievements the diving achievements is on top, is starting to annoy me to a point I’m losing fun in the game.

Also it cost me at least 20 maybe even 40 revive orbs trying to get back up and continue… being half way up and dead trying to revive , is better then having to rerun and retry everything. I hate the slippery stones the most, and am fairly decent nowadays in climbing up until the point of the slippery stones… when I have actually passed the stones. I still only have a 50% chance of reaching the diving platform..

Could or would people help me get this achievement?

it’s certainly a doozy, and I commend your determination!
I assume you’re seen youtube videos on how to land the dive? definitely watch them. you can’t just dive straight, you have to move while falling.
I can help portal you if I’m active when you are, but I believe we’ll need more than one mesmer to actually reach from the platform to the bottom.

ohhhh, this might help (from the wiki): “To make it easier to survive your jump with the diving goggles, have a party member wait in the water below you and aim towards their location.”
never thought of that before. target them for added visibility.

It’s really sad if you had to resort to actual payment. I have seen this JP and the high jump itself being portalled several times for free/tips.

Definitely, ask for help, because this is bar-none the toughest JP outside of trib-mode SAB.

There is no easy method to complete this dive, the climb up is a pain, the jump itself is hard. I jumped from the little pipe off the side so I could see where I was jumping to and that worked for me. The best option you have is to keep trying, as hard as that is to hear, and I know how hard it is to hear, I lost count of how many times I tried. Best of luck

Other than keep trying is to look for a friendly mesmer to help. I’ve seen some mesmers in lfg porting for the jp from time to time.

One mesmer alone can portal, which is what the two helping me did. They have to be good at the jump, obviously you can’t portal if you’ve died from the fall :P. One was porting from just above the well that you jump into. The other liked to use the horizontal pipes toward the start of that room (the pipes you jump across before reaching the ship).

I would happily Tip 10+ gold to generous Mesmer that would like to port me to the diving platform

This is sooo friggin’ stupid in all its simplicity..why didnt I think of that (must be beyond stupid I guess..LOL)
