I want to finish this achievement, but I can’t make it to the end of this puzzle. It occurs to me that some of you folks like doing that JP. You call it fun, I call it masochism. So, I will pay 10 gold for somebody (mesmer) to help me get to the goggles AND complete the dive. Five gold to get me to the goggles, and 5 gold if I survive the dive and get the achievement. That is, if we make it to the goggles and for some reason I mess up the dive, you get 5 gold, and I’ll pay another 5 to get back to the goggles. I have a couple hundred gold, and you could potentially walk away with all of it. I am committed. So PM me here or in game if you are interested. I also have a mesmer so in case you fall or die I can get you back up and we can continue. Thanks. =)

Many players with Mesmers will aid you at no cost. In fact, there was just a thread a few days ago about that.

You helpful mesmers are awesome and a beautiful antidote to the sometimes horrendous parts of the playerbase <3

I have never been so infuriated with a game until this one came along. The game has plenty of grind. There’s no need for a jp like this in an early map. The game stops being fun, when you’re on a repeat cycle of failure.

I’m also willing to pay 10g to someone who can get me to the diving goggles. I’m on Anvil Rock.

To be fair, that particular JP was added long after the map was released. It was part of the Living Story, which isn’t really aimed at ‘early/newer’ players.

I’m not sure if they’ve fixed the bug(s) with it yet; it may be listed in the Known Issue Tracker.

Also, if you are in NA, but also there is a Guild called “We Hate Jumping Puzzles” that helped both myself and my daughter get this completed.

A couple tips:

1. Set a personal Waypoint in the water you want to hit if doing the diving goggles achievement BEFORE you go up. Makes it much easier to get your bearings when tryign to decide where to jump to get past the holographic stuff and not get Dead.

2. If you are doing the JP Achievement, get the goggles while you’re at it. I did not and had to go through getting some help to do it again.

Both times, I found help that did not ask for any compensation, but I gave them something for their trouble anyway, as it was a big help to me.

(This is the ONLY JP I have not been able to do myself in the whole game. So I am very sympathetic to anyone trying to do this or the dive goggles. )
