Guild Wars 2

I’m about to start the long journey of getting Sunrise, but first I need Dawn. I know if I put up 4 rare/exotic greatswords into the Mystic Forge I have a chance at Dawn. Is the % higher with 4 exotics or can I do just 4 rares and have just as good chance?

As a quick note, the higher the level and rarity of the things you are throwing into the forge, the better your chances of getting a Legendary Precursor.
