The one gives a extra defensive stat next to agony and the other a offensive. Easy as that.
An offensive infusion is something that would give +Power / Precision / Condition / etc. This would be in addition to the +5 Agony Resistance. For example, a current Mystic Forge offensive infusion would look like +5 Agony Resistance & +5 Precision.
A defensive infusion is something that would give +Vitality / Toughness / Healing / etc. This would be in addition to the +5 Agony Resistance. For example, a current Mystic Forge defensive infusion would look like +5 Agony Resistance & +5 Vitality.
