Q:
Offhand weapon strength
Somebody else probably knows this better than I do, but your Main Hand weapon (sigils aswell) only applies to your main hand abilities (1-3) and Off Hand weapon (sigils aswell) only applies to your offhand weapon.
E.g: If you have a Sigil of Accuracy (+Crit%) on your main hand, the added Crit% will only apply for your main hand abilities.
Also, I have absolutely no idea how it works for thieves dual-wield 3 skill.
I am also curious
rainbowstylin summed it up pretty good. The dual wield skill (Death blossom), are three rapid attacks: main – off – main, so for the first and the last hit the main hand stats are used and for the second the offhand stats.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Main-hand damage stats are used for your main-hand attacks. Offhand damage stats are used for your offhand attacks. Any stat bonuses ( power, etc ) are cumulative across both weapons. AFAIK, sigil bonuses work independently of which skill you use. So, a 5% bonus damage on an offhand will count for both main-hand and off-hand skills. Be careful with sigils. A lot of them are bugged, and a lot of them don’t stack.
Thief dual wielding, I’m not sure how the number 3 skill works.
EDIT: ooh, Rainbow doesn’t think sigils work the same way. I could be wrong.
There was a thread with a youtube video a while back that did a good job of explaining how certain combinations of sigils in main hand and off-hand weapons work:
I’m guessing that will be your next question as you start to dig into off-hand weapon mechanics.
He might start thinking he knows what’s right for you.
