Q:

i’ve just noticed that omnomberry nodes reset is not daily, do you know how many hours does it takes for a single node to pop again?

00:00 UTC (5:00 PM PDT): Resets daily achievements; certain objects respawn: chests (e.g. from Jumping Puzzles, except for those in World vs World), resource nodes (notably node farms and rich ore veins) as well as event-related interactive objects (Carving Pumpkin, Magic Snow).

It is daily at the daily reset, so not after 24 hours.
So at 4:49 PDT you can farm a node and farm it again a minute later.

there’s something wrong. yesterday i farmed some omnomberry nodes around 12:00 UTC, and again around 21:00, so it doesn’t reset daily. same for the jp chests. i do it everyday around 12:00, but sometimes it doesn’t reset and i can’t complete it. like now, i’m in malchor’s leap and smuggler’s loot and the chest under the vista are not active.

Malchor’s Leap has been acting odd lately. Sometime over Saturday night/Sunday morning (European time) the nodes reset in different locations. Only this map, Cursed Shore and Frostgorge Sound did not change.

This was happening a few weeks ago as well, almost on a daily basis – just Malchor’s Leap, not any of the other high-level maps.

EDIT: Just to add, I am on Gunnar’s Hold

Agreed. Malchior’s is know for sometimes having extra daily node resets for no good reason. One day, they only reset with the daily reset. The next day, it randomly resets the daily nodes only a couple of hours after I farmed them. From my personal observations, there is no clear pattern or reason for this. Just be happy when it happens and harvest away.

We are Test Group F. (Don’t ask about what happened to the previous Test Groups.)

I thought nodes were supposed to reset weekly? I remember I was doing daily Claw events for a while, and the nodes seemed to be in the same place day after day.

I believe it is around 8 hours. Unless that has changed.

For the high-level nodes (ori, ancient/orrian sapling, omnom) they ‘re-charge’ every 24 hrs, when your server resets the daily. They should not move location, but this seems to happen in Malchor’s on occasion for some unknown reason.

Whenever there is server maintenance, or any other sort of server update, all the nodes change location in all the maps. Locations are random, but do follow a pattern.
This is at Anet’s whim and is not always once per week, sometimes this can be 2-3 times a week.

Omnomberry’s respawn 6 hours after you gather the node, in the exact same spot (unless there is a new build in which everything respawns and all nodes are moved in locations)

Do you have any source for this information, cause all info points into the direction that Bri above you have it right. So please proof this opinion.

At Bri,

I actually have this issue on Southsun Cove and not on Malchor’s leap (farming on riverside, thank you riverside community for providing us with the best resource map in the world)

I have a suspision bout the course.
Empty maps: If a map gets empty (no players) it goes to sleep and is remade on the server when someone enters it again, restting all events as it was a serverreset.

hmmmm, with all do respect, you are also asking questions bout how to farm tier 6 materials in another thread. So calling yourself an avid gatherer might be a too bold statement. Besides that you go against the statement on the offcial wiki and that of established players like Bri.

I’m NOT saying your wrong but it’s hard to swallow it as a fact when other sources are disagreeing with you. So can you please explain more of your testing methods. Best offcourse would be a few sets of screenshots with the servertime showing on the map (3 sets of 2 pictures would do).

If your right this is imo revolutionary and important to be changed and added on the wiki.

I agree with the poster, I couldn’t remember if it was 6 or 8, but 6 sounds right. This is from experience.

I am very strongly against botters and I think they should be stopped. Thats why it is important that things like bot detection methods or how DR works have to remain a secret. That information doesn’t effect the general population. When it comes however to important information like this I think you push it too far.

Lets not make this a police state over botters.

Well I can say that I hope more people do start farming these. The reason is because the berries themselves are actually the same price as much of the food they make. Granted some recipes, the most famous of which being omnomberry bars, make 2 bars from 1. But I just hope it is regular players and not bots driving down the price.. I’d love to make more trays for my server in Orr. I farm these when I can, but they can be a real pain to get. But you will never see happier people in game than when you head out to orr, drop 4 banners an MF bonfire, and some omnomberry trays for everyone.

I don’t profess to know everything about node re-spawn rates, but I have been harvesting in Orr for quite sometime.

I cannot recall ever seeing or harvesting an omnom node with a 6 or 8 hr spawn rate. Other nodes like ghost peppers, lotus, yes, but omnom, no. They have always been like the ori and ancient/orrian sapling nodes.

They only times I have harvested the same omnom node within 6 or 8 hrs was when a server reset occurred during that time period. This goes for the ori and ancient/orrian saplings as well.

Remember that after a server maintenance reset or update, the nodes can reappear in very close to where they were before. This is particularly so for 2 of the omnom nodes in Malchor’s, often they reappear in the exact same location.

I think the people claiming the 6 or 8 hrs re spawn rates for omnoms are forgetting this …

It would be extremely easy for a bot to track the respawn time. Much easier than a normal player. It just has to record the time each time it gathers.
