Q:

Question about on critical hit sigils.

If I have the same sigil on another weapon set, does the cooldown apply to both? or the cooldown applies to the one that triggered, and if I switch to the other weapon set, that one can trigger again with it’s own cooldown?

Lets say I have Two weapon sets, my first weapon set a have a Sigil of Generosity and if I switch to the second weapon set I have a Sigil of Generosity of that too.

If the sigil triggers on the first set, does it trigger a cooldown for the sigil on the other set too?

“A character can always equip two sigils at a time (either one sigil each on a main-hand and off-hand weapon, or two sigils on a two-handed weapon). In general, the two sigils will both provide their effects independently as long as the base sigil is different. The exceptions to this are the attribute increasing stacking sigils: only one stack effect can be active at a time. Additionally, sigils with the same base sigil will share cooldowns between weapon sets

To clarify, the cool downs are tracked per “type”, and essentially share the same cool down across all sigils that offer the type of triggered effect. Say you have Minor Sigil of Air and Major Sigil of Air on one weapon, but Super Sigil of Air in another weapon. On Crit, all sigils in the active weapon set will Roll for trigger. Depending on which one triggered will set the Cool down period in the back ground. If you were to immediately swap weapons to the Superior Sigil, that will NOT trigger until that existing cool down is cleared.

Having mirrored sigils between your 2 weapons sets makes them available all the the time, but doesn’t affect this cool down in any helpful ways.

That’s a useful phrasing for the wiki.

I feel that this question comes up every month or two, even from people who have read the Sigil article. Perhaps you could add it or include it as a “leave feedback on the article”.

I’m lazy and don’t know wiki protocols. Just suggest it since you seem to know more about how that works.
