Hey everybody!
As many of you already know, O:U is a massive thread here on the Players Helping Players subforum. Glitch started O:U to create a hub for people looking for help in GW2, regardless of their home server. At first it was for dungeon runs, but quickly it became a place where people could meet to offer or ask for help on anything in the game, or even just to meet other players and be social.

To make communicating in game easier we started a guild, the Legion of Honour, and many people have signed up for this during the game’s first year. Our roster grew quickly and we currently have 200+ members. We also have a website that is filled with helpful information and fun threads. Link

Since Glitch started this thread, many people have found the help they needed, joined guilds on their own server, or guilds more suited to their playstyle. Others left the game completely. This has left both our roster and the O:U thread filled with people who are no longer active in GW2. Because of this, the size and the vast amount of information in the original thread, we’ve decided to start afresh with a new O:U thread.

We still want to help everybody who asks for help, but we’re offering you a choice.
Recognising some people may not want another guild in their life, if you are just looking for some people to help you out in a particular thing, or are offering help to anybody who needs it, then by all means use this thread to find or offer that help.

If you want to join Legion of Honour, you are most welcome. We still don’t expect you to rep us all the time, but we do like to see you active in the guild every now and then, asking or offering help or just dropping by to say hello.

If you find you like the Legion a lot, you’ll find we have most of the nice guild things and we will welcome you to take a more active part and make a bit more of a commitment to the guild. But, it’s still a place where you can stay a casual member and just come in to be social or find groups.

We will post here periodically about fun gatherings the Legion of Honour is having and invite any GW2 player to come take part (server region permitting) and we invite other players and groups to use this thread to do the same. So check back here now and then for any updates

Additional Comments: Like Atlas, I don’t really talk about myself, since my head is full of poetry analysis and odds and ends about working in a lab and other strange things that would likely bore most people. If you’re not on Tarnished Coast, there’s unfortunately no guarantee I’ll always be able to play with you, given I can only guest on two servers a day- however, you are always welcome to guest to the Coast yourself. And no matter what server you’re from, I will answer your questions.

My main is a charr elementalist, who I’ve played since launch- I am currently working on another elementalist, and sometimes play my ranger/mesmer/guardian alts. I know a little about every class, having tried them all at some point and ran with skilled players, but my specialty is elementalist. Though I’ll give no guarantee that the way I prefer to play my ele is the same as your preferred style (I don’t use staff much, for instance), and I won’t give you a specific build if you ask for one, as I believe the best way to find a good build is to tinker and experiment rather than copy another’s.

Again, this is all free of charge. There will be cases I can’t help, but I will do what I can. As Hayashi said, you lose nothing by asking.

Personality-wise, I can be a bit tart at times. One of my major peeves is whining, and by that I don’t mean “Events are hard to find in this area” or “I’m having trouble leveling/staying alive.” By whining, I mean things like “X class is soooooo OP because I can’t beat it, Anet hates my class!” or “This game is mean and unfair, I should get 10g for killing the champion troll!” or “My class is underpowered because I can’t stand in one place and kill everything by facerolling my keyboard!” Just… no. Otherwise, I’m nice and won’t talk down to you for not knowing something.

Hello all readers,

I’m Sacred, one of the officers of the Legion. Being one of the few EU-based players still on a EU-server, I wanted to take a moment to talk about that.

Operation:Union is an amazing project for finding people to play with and our hope is only that it will keep growing and stay useful as a unifying point for the whole Guild Wars 2 community. :)

That said, it is a fact that many of our original European players long ago decided to transfer to NA-servers. However, I want to let every European reader know that you shouldn’t be afraid of participating in the project just because of this.
I am a very active player on a European server and I will gladly play with anyone who wants some company or help. Also, the European players on NA-servers are still playing from European time-zones and will be available in the guild chat to give advice on anything you want to ask. So please, don’t feel like joining the project would equal transferring to NA-servers, or being alone, because that’s not true! ;)

Finally, to anyone who has heard about the Legion before, maybe checked it out but didn’t feel like it was for them, I would definitely suggest checking us out again as we have recently implemented a couple of changes and may be more to your liking now. Hopefully our updated structure will make the project and the guild more accessible and attractive for you and the entire community!

The last time I played for more than 1 day in a row was when those Living World events started. My little feedback after (looks at forum post) almost a month (?).
I still don’t have the amount of time to play that I wish I had but I’ve still done more diverse things with this guild than before. From guild missions, to a fractal, an AC explorable and the crowning “mafia/werewolf” game with no in-game reward or title at all.

As for socializing, try not to be shy to jump into the conversation in guild chat. It’s a great way to start getting to meet the other players around the guild. Our EU side is a bit quiet at the moment, but all us NA people will still happily chat with you!
