Hello community:

Is it possible to use a character of one order to purchase that order’s armor, and then to store it in the bank for a character of another order to use? For example, if I were to use my ranger, which is in the vigil (not yet, but will be), to purchase Vigil light armor, and then store it into the bank for my Charr mesmer, which is in the order of whispers, to use?

Thank you in advance,

Yes just use the trick to unsoulbind an item.

Buy a white or blue item
Transmute this item with the skin of the order’s armor; this will make it account bound
transfer it between your characters through your bank
Transmute the stats you want onto it; This resoulbinds the item so it will need to be on the desired character.

I can confirm Rainbow Sprint’s method works, but you will need a transmutation crystal from the gemstore at least for the initial transmutation, as all order equipment is lvl80. Can get a bit pricey to transmute a full set once to white to make account bound, then again to lvl80 exotic (or I guess now ascended too), but it pays off if you really like an order armor set.
