Guild Wars 2

Howdy folks,

Like the title has it, I’ve gone over all 3 maps (Malachor, Cursed Shore, and Straights) numerous times, 100% for each of them, yet I’m still 59/60 for the achievement ‘Orr Explorer’.

Is the Arah dungeon (explorable) needed for this?

Try the Artesian Waters in Cursed Shore (personal story will take you there at the end but nothing else)… get there via a passage out of the river just north of the temple of Melandru.

Also try the Sea of Elon on the southern edge of Straits of Devastation. Totally empty water, nothing there.

The Explorer achievement and map completion are two different things. Map completion requires you to get all vistas/PoIs/WPs/SPs, while Explorer achievements require you to unfog every area in a map. Some of those fogged areas don’t have map completion objects, so you can pass them entirely.

I think the area you’re missing is The Artesian Waters in Cursed Shore. It’s hidden behind an underwater tunnel behind the Temple of Melandru. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Artesian_Waters

EDIT: Dungeons are not counted.

There is also Malchor’s Fingers, which seems to be a tiny strip along the top edge of Malchor’s Leap, above Whisper Bay.

I think you get that one when you get the vista north of Lyssa, but it’s worth checking.

as said, the orr explorer has everything to do with unfogging the maps and nothing with map completion.

Off course, area’s where something is for map completion can be considered to be done (although some hearts can be done in more then one area.
So you have to look for area’s that have no such thing.

So:
- Sea of Elon http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sea_of_Elon : Though hard to miss if getting the PoI Cadrigan’s Jetty
- Zho’qafa Catacomb http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Zho%27qafa_Catacombs
- Malchor’s Fingers http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Malchor%27s_Fingers : there is a vista at the edge, but it might not register properly as unfogged there.
- Penitent path http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Penitent_Path : although this tunnel is the most used tunnel for certain event farms, it might be something to miss.
- The Artesian Waters: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Artesian_Waters : You do this one during a personal story

So the most logical thing your missing is Zho’qafa Catacomb so check that one first

I just had to unfog, so thank you all for that tip, I had no idea. Very good choice. I’ve been stuck on this for a good 6 months, no kidding.

Getting to Artesian Waters in Cursed Shore will also get you the Forgotten Stream Achievement
