Oryza Gaming, my guild and my pain.

This, make sure you report using a support ticket.

Even if you don’t have screenshots, do your best to give ANet the times|dates and locations, including your character and theirs (although don’t use those names in this thread).
ANet won’t be able to get you your 100g + slivers back, but — once they find the scammer — they’ll be able to make sure that he’s appropriately punished for his actions. (Which could include account suspension or closure and removing funds from the account, depending on circumstances.)
It’s not really a failure as you as a leader for trusting someone who than breaks that trust.
Besides your point, new guilds have a really rough time getting started – so in the beginning you’re going to lose a lot of players. but by working hard you’ll find “keepers”. and they will help you grow

You didn’t fail as a leader; you got scammed by someone who is not worth your time or energy. He didn’t enter into this agreement with you to legitimately create and lead a guild together; he did it to scam you.
If you remember his name and have any screenshots of your interactions, report him to Anet. You could just report him in-game, or you could make a support ticket with his name and your account of what happened.

Like the others said, this isn’t your fault. Much to the detriment of the community, people like this exist, and not only in GW2. One thing you do need to remember is to set up permissions as to who can get stuff from the guild bank. I’ve been in a couple guilds where this wasn’t done, only to log in & and be told by others in the guild that high priced items were cleaned out of the bank & the offender left the guild. I believe the worst one of the bunch waited the two month probationary period for the permission change & then did the raid and leave thing.

Well you know better now. You learned something worth more than 100g virtual gold lol. You might even consider thanking the jerk should you run into him in the future. Someone you type a few messages back and forth to in the course of 30-60 minutes isn’t a trustworthy source.

one does not simply trust a person from pvp.
Hi guys, thanks for the support. I’ve got my gold back and submitted a trinket. I know that I’m a airhead but what do you expect outta a teenager ????. In a basket of apples, no matter how fresh or how much pesticides you put, there is always bond to be a few bad ones ???? But even bad apples aren’t exactly rotten in the core as if no salvation. I’ve learned my lesson and know better now, I hope.
