I haven’t played for a few weeks now. My initial group of 5 friends has gradually dwindled to 0. Two of us made it up until the “January” update.

What really got us, was that so much development resource goes to temporary content. This living story thing, I couldn’t get into it. The update (which at one point in December was referred to as an expansion’s worth of content) amounts to little more than a few corpses in two zones…

In November, I was on vacation and missed the entirity of the November event. I came back to a new island that had no content on it. Because the content was only in the game for 2 weeks. (huh?)

Anyhow, myself nor my friends play anymore, and that’s why. We all got our $60 dollars worth for sure. I think it’s likely that 2 of us will check in every few months to see if there are new dungeons, the other 3 seem done, though.

What is this? Are you saying goodbye? This is the Players Helping Players forum, what do you need help with? It would appear your mind is pretty much made up at this point.

The update you’re referring to that was stated to have an expansion’s worth of content isn’t quite finished. In fact it is just getting started, correct?

Don’t really need help with anything. Was just putting my 2 cents in. All of my ‘real life friends’ quit, and we all had the same issue. Figured it was worth posting.

Too bad you don’t actually get any enjoyment from the game play itself. If you did, seeing the same content a few times wouldn’t be so onerous since you would still have fun simply playing. And even now (been playing since BWE1), I’m still discovering new things that I’d never seen before.

As for the Living Story, you can’t really say it doesn’t meet your expectations because it hasn’t started yet. All you’ve seen is the teaser content. More will come this month, with the meat appearing in March and April.

But best of luck finding a game that has more release content in it or has a more aggressive schedule for adding new content, than this one. I’m an old gamer (cut my teeth on Space Invaders and Asteroids), and I’ve yet to see one.
