Hey guys! The only way to get our old look from spvp is to transmute the skin onto our current set of PvE gear. So when I replace my current set of PvE gear with new gear I either have to transmute again, or re-equip the old gear to regain my old look?

Anyone? Would be much appreciated! I was hoping their would be a wardrobe option where you can equip armor pieces that you like the look of that are completely separate from your stats…

Disclaimer: I’m not a PvP player, either before or after the patch. This comes from a bit of experimentation and asking in HotM.

The only thing that carries over from your PvE gear is the skin. The stats don’t matter. Apparently you couldn’t ever choose stat combinations in PvP anyway, you can’t have rabid or soldiers or knights etc. armor/weapons, just one default set, and the PvP Build option at the top of the screen lets you pick the sigils, a rune and an amulet as well as change your traits (which are still separate to your PvE ones).

So if you want your old PvP look for everything (PvP, PvE and WvW) you’ll need to transmute those skins onto your current gear.

If you want different looks you will need 2 different sets, but the stats of the PvP set don’t matter. You could buy level 1 gear, transmute it and it will work the same as a full set of ascended.
