A guild mate needs to get Ascalonian Tears, but does not like dungeons. I suggested that he try the Ascalonian Tear Catacombs Dungeon track, but upon checking I do not see Ascalonian Tears as a reward. Did they remove it?

It still i sin Wiki: “one of the rewards for progressing in the Ascalonian Catacombs Dungeon Track in PvP or WvW. Completing the track awards 240 Ascalonian Tears.”

you need to do story to open it permanently

What Linken said, also make sure you are looking for the “Ascalonian Catacombs Dungeon Track” not the “Ascalon Dungeon Track”.

The wiki is correct.

Also note that there are now WvW tracks for the tears as well, if you favor that over PvP.

I am looking at the PVP “Ascalonian Catacombs Dungeon Track" and do not see that it gives Tears, but maybe it is not stated?

240 tears per track.

Tiers 2, 4, 6 and 8 give a Catacombs Token Loot Box which gives 60 dungeon tokens each time.

If I start a reward track during its 2-week unlocked period, but don’t finish it until the available tracks rotate, what happens to my progress? Will it reset? Will I be able to continue it but not restart it until it’s rotated back in?

Progress should not be loss since you are free to swap around your active track without losing any progress. Not sure about continuing to progress. It will probably swap you to a different track automatically similar to how it swap to a different track after completing one.
