Q:
Pact Scout's Mapping Materials
You get the next map reward every 200 point, so this should just instantly give you the next item in the queue (if you’re not already maxed out on that map).
aaahhh ok, so you get a bonus only once you reach a 200 point xp? I do wish the tool tips were a bit less vague.
Yeah, there’s no way I’m aware of to see how many points you currently have, so unless you happen to know how the system works, I can see how the item description can be confusing. But as 200 points is equivalent to gold on 2 events, you’re never far from the next reward anyway, so it’s not a huge problem.
You don’t get a wiggle box or anything. For example: Go collect all 6 Scouting materials, then go to Frostgorge Sound and double click on all of them. This week you will be getting Powerful Blood, Charged Lodestones/Cores and Giant eyes. Watch the loot come in above your minimap and you’ll find the items put directly into your inventory.
If you want to see at a glance what you’ll get from each map go to this wiki page: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Map_bonus_reward
If you’re doing events in the zone you will get one map bonus reward for every 2 events you do.
Also, if you’re double clicking on the pact scouting materials in a city, instance, guild hall or starter zone you’re not going to get anything.

I figured this might be the case so I’ve been careful not to consume any of these until I am actually on the map I plan to run through.
I just wish information was more clearly defined on this item. The current tool tip leaves a lot of ambiguity.
